In the case of sewn-in hair weaves, hair is typically braided close to the scalp and extension hair is added in wefts. The extension hair takes the daily wear-and-tear, so your natural hair is protected from the elements and styling practices. Your hair won't have to suffer the heat from blow dryers, curling irons, flat irons or hot rollers. It won't be affected by harsh weather or cotton pillowcases. Your hair will be protected from all of those routines and outside influences that can slowly split the ends and dry it out. 3. Low Commitment

  Weaves are designed to be worn for a short amount of time, anywhere from one day to a couple of months. Unlike a haircut, which you have to wait on to grow out, hair weaves are low commitment options. This method must be done with a bang of some sort; be a long swoop or blunt cut / china bangs. 

     


OPEN TOP 
This method leaves a very small opening in the top of your hair, revealing your  natural hair , just enough for a center or side part look.       

               
Net Method
This method is done by  using a very fine stretchy mesh material that lies on top of your  braids before attaching the commercial hair .  This net is in place to reduce snagging when combing and shampooing your commercial hair.  As your natural hair inevitably grows out of your braids the net will continue to serve as a barrier ultimately prolonging the life of your weave.  The net can be used with any method.  

  

Spider Weave Method
A very versatile method  that leaves most of your hair out in the front / top and blends the commercial hair throughout your own.

After your weave is completed, it will be important to think of your extension as your own hair. You will need your weave shampooed as well as your natural hair. Weave hair is especially prone to becoming brittle and dry because it is not attached to the scalp and therefore doesn't receive any of the body's naturally nourishing oils. Your natural hair will become dry and brittle if it is not shampooed, conditioned and moisturized on a regular basis. Therefore, you will want to shampoo your hair and make sure you keep your hair moisturized with a deep conditioner. If weaves are not kept clean they can collect bacteria. Always shampoo your scalp as well as your natural hair and weave hair every 7-14 days.
